Can You Hear it? The UN’s Deafening Silence

Israelis are still reeling from yesterday’s two terrorist attacks – in Jerusalem and Gush Etzion – which left one person dead and several other fighting for their lives. 

But for many, the lack of international combination is almost as bad; UN officials and heads of state have been remarkably quick, for example, to condemn Israeli building plans in Jerusalem, but Palestinian incitement and violent attacks have elicited little more than bland calls for calm – if that.

It was against that backdrop that Israel’s UN Ambassador Ron Prosor sent a sharply-worded letter to the UN Security Council – which only recently condemned Israeli building in Jerusalem but which has remained silent in the face of Palestinian attacks.

Israel’s Mission to the United Nations is not letting up though, releasing a short but acerbic clip illustrating “The Security Council’s Deafening Silence”:
