In a strong showing of unity, Jews throughout Israel prayed for the safe return of the three yeshiva students who were kidnapped from Kfar Etzion in Judea last Thursday by terrorists.

Video shows the mass prayer rallies held on Sunday throughout the central coastal region of Israel, even as mass prayers were occurring at the Western Wall (Kotel) in Jerusalem.

At the start of Arutz Sheva‘s coverage, popular religious singer Yonatan Razel can be seen singing at the Tel Aviv suburb of Givat Shmuel.

Razel begins by singing Psalm 121, which features the lines: “I will lift up mine eyes unto the mountains: from whence shall my help come? My help cometh from the L-rd, who made heaven and earth. ...He that keepeth Israel doth neither slumber nor sleep.”

In addition, Razel can be heard singing his hit song “Katonti,” which is based on the prayer said by the Jewish Patriarch Yaakov as he entered Israel, as recorded in the Torah.

The prayers in Givat Shmuel were joined by Jews praying in Petah Tikva, another coastal city surrounding Tel Aviv.

In Tel Aviv’s Rabin Square, a group of children are seen being led in chanting “please G-d, free our brothers.”

Approximately 700 residents of Tel Aviv showed up for the prayer rally at Rabin Square on Sunday, which was attended by the Chief Rabbi of Tel Aviv and former Chief Ashkenazi Rabbi of Israel, Rabbi Yisrael Meir Lau, Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu of the city of Tzfat, and Tel Aviv-Yafo Mayor Ron Huldai.

One of the organizers of the rally, Itay Granek, said, “Since we learned of the abduction of the boys last Friday, the sound of prayer for their safety has been heard all over the country. Today we gathered also in the heart of Tel Aviv, both religious and secular residents, for a solidarity and prayer rally for their quick and safe return.”
