Ambassador Prosor: Ahmadinejad Has No Place in This World

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad “has no place in the world,” said Israeli Ambassador to the UN Ron Prosor, who apparently found it redundant to even suggest that there is a question if Ahmadinejad has a place in the “World to Come.”

Both expressions are common in Jewish thought concerning a person’s reward while living and after he passes away, and Jewish tradition teaches there is no place in the World to Come for the wicked.

“Ahmadinejad is the leader of a country with no respect for law and has no place in this world,” Prosor told Voice of Israel government radio Tuesday morning, several hours after the ambassador walked out as the Iranian president began speaking at a United Nations session on government and law.

“Denying the Holocaust and threats by Ahmadinejad to destroy Israel have become a part of the international scene, a situation that cannot be tolerated,” Prosor added.

He predicted that when Ahmadinejad will deliver his annual address to the UN General Assembly on Wednesday, Yom Kippur, ambassadors from the United States, Canada and European nations will walk out of the hall.

In Ahmadinejad’s speech Tuesday, he declared that the “Zionist” state has “no roots in history” while Iran has been around for thousands of years.

Speaking only a day after United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon advised him to tone down his hatred towards Israel and realize the “potentially harmful consequences of inflammatory rhetoric, Ahmadinejad told the United Nations Monday that Israel is a ”fake regime.”
