‘He returned the Jewish people to Jerusalem’

“In our era, miracles of God are implemented by the actions of people.”

That’s how veteran Temple Mount activist and Likud MK Yehuda Gick summed up the legacy of American-Jewish philanthropist Dr. Irving Moskowitz.

Speaking to Arutz Sheva at the funeral Monday, Glick said the quite but endlessly generous billionaire had perhaps contributed more than anyone else alive today to the return of the Jewish nation to their ancient capital, Jerusalem.

“When we look at the redemption process of the Jewish people returning to Jerusalem, I don’t think there’s any other person in the world who we can put a finger on and say: ‘He led the miracle of God, of the return of the Jewish people to Jerusalem – to the most difficult parts of Jerusalem!”

“He was a person of inspiration,” recounted Glick, who in 2015 won the ‘Lion of Zion’ Moskowitz Prize. “He worked behind the scenes… he was always pulling the strings and thinking what can he do more, how can he use all his financial abilities to double their potential, to triple their potential.”
