Hempstead Town Councilman Bruce Blakeman said Wednesday that he and his wife Sigal were “very honored” to be guests of honor at a dinner honoring Ateret Cohanim, to support a cause that “we really feel is important, reclamation of Jerusalem by Jewish families.”
“Ateret Cohanim is a wonderful organization that raises money to buy homes legally and to put Jewish families in Arab east Jerusalem so that they can be the backbone in what will continue to be the backbone of a united Jerusalem,” he explained.
Blakeman noted that his Third District holds over 140,000 Jewish people, including congregations that “feel very strongly about the mission of Ateret Cohanim.”
