After three major terror attacks on Tuesday in Yafo, Jerusalem and Petah Tikva, Israeli Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon sent an urgent letter to the UN Security Council demanding that they make their first condemnation of the Arab terror wave engulfing Israel.
In the Petah Tikva attack, American tourist Taylor Allen Force was murdered and 12 others were wounded. The US issued a condemnation of the attack – but such a condemnation has yet to be issued by the UN.
Danon noted in his letter that since the terror wave began last September, there have been 317 terror attacks on an average of 2.18 per day. He pointed out that a third of the attacks were committed by Palestinian minors.
“This ongoing wave of terror has claimed the lives of thirty four victims – thirty four fathers and mothers, sons and daughters, husbands and wives, buried by their loved ones,” Danon wrote.
“Yet, the Security Council has not condemned Palestinian terror even once.”
Danon also emphasized in his letter the active role of Palestinian incitement in fueling the attacks, and said, “the international community must not continue to ignore this ongoing campaign of brainwashing and indoctrination.”
“I ask you to open your eyes, condemn the ongoing attacks,” the ambassador concluded.
