The Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency paramedic service has been facing a series of particularly difficult weeks throughout Israel due to the unceasing stabbings, shootings, and car attacks.

During the last month, MDA staff stayed on call throughout Israel and provided medical aid to 170 terror victims.

Eleven people have been murdered: Rabbi Eitam and Rabbanit Na’ama Henkin, who were killed in a shooting in Samaria; Rabbi Nehemia Lavi and Aharon Bennett, who were murdered in a stabbing on al-Wadi Street in Jerusalem’s Old City; and Haviv Haim, Alon Guverg, and Richard Lakin, who were murdered in the bus attack in Jerusalem’s Armon Hanatziv neighborhood.

Also killed were Rabbi Yeshayahu Krishevsky, in a car-and-knife attack just minutes after the Armon Hanatziv attack; as well as Sgt. Omri Levi, Avraham Asher Hasno, and Haptom Zerhom.

MDA workers saved the lives of 159 people who were wounded in car attacks, stabbings, and shootings. Of these, 21 were severely wounded, 5 moderately-to-severely, 22 moderately, and 111 lightly wounded. These numbers include 51 people who were injured in rock attacks.

Another 72 people have been treated for trauma.

MDA calls on the public to follow security forces’ instructions, to remain aware of their surroundings, and to call 101 for any medical emergencies.

Eli Bin, the director of MDA, further states that “Over the past month, MDA’s workers have been on high alert due to the wave of terror attacks across the country. We are ready and prepared for any occurrence, in any place. We work night and day in order to save lives. In the name of all MDA workers and volunteers, I wish to offer my condolences to all the bereaved families, and wish a swift recovery to all the wounded.”
