Two Qassam rockets fired from northern Gaza Strip on Saturday night exploded in an open area in the Eshkol Regional Council. No injuries or damage were reported.
Earlier, two rockets landed in an open area near Sderot, causing no harm.
A 29-year-old woman was lightly injured while running to a shelter. She was taken to the Barzilai Medical Center in Ashkelon shortly after.
The fire follows rocket fire that took place on Friday, as two projectiles hit agricultural fields in Eshkol Regional Council.
Last week, the Iron Dome defense system intercepted a rocket which was fired at Ashkelon. Another rocket exploded in an open area in the Hof Ashkelon Regional Council.
Ashkelon residents who did not hear an alert before the Iron Dome system intercepted the incoming rocket took the explosion as a matter of course.
“I’m happy that Iron Dome system works, that even in a situation in which we’re in danger it manages to keep our lives quiet and peaceful,” Benny, a resident of Ashkelon, told Ynet.
