2 PA Arabs Try to Break Into Ben Gurion Airport

A state of emergency was declared at the Ben Gurion International Airport on Monday night, after a truck driven by a Palestinian Authority Arab man broke an entry barrier on the highway leading to the airport.

The truck continued to speed and only stopped after security forces fired at it. The Arab driver and another passenger on board were taken off the truck and are being questioned.

A police sapper was called to the scene to examine the truck and determine whether there were any explosives on board. No such explosives were found and no one was hurt.

As part of the emergency procedure, all arrivals and departures were stopped until the investigation concludes. The state of emergency has since been lifted, but flight delays are expected.
