Twelve Israeli tourists were injured late Wednesday when a bus overturned in Argentina. The Israeli Embassy in Buenos Aires is in touch with the victims and has contacted their families in Israel. All 12 are said to be suffering from light injuries. The Israelis have been taken to a local hospital for treatment.
According to local police, the incident occurred in a rural area of the country. The bus overturned when it went off the road and into a ditch, police said.
Two months ago, 8 Israelis were injured in an accident in Thailand after a minubus overturned. One Israeli was seriously injured in that accident. In January, IDF officer Noam Rubinstein was killed after he froze to death while on a hike in northern Chile. Rubinstein was badly hurt, and rescuers wereunable to get to him in time to save him.
